SYNOPSIS
City of Angels takes place in glamorous 1940s Hollywood. While trying to maintain his artistic integrity and marriage, a young novelist, Stine, is attempting to write a screenplay for fast-talking Hollywood producer, Buddy Fidler. As he creates the story about a private detective, Stone, the characters of Stine's imagination come to life on stage. The characters Stine writes about are drawn from his life, so the cast doubles in roles from Stine’s world and Stone’s world. Stine’s world is depicted in color; Stone’s world is in black and white.
